Cine Fórum appeared in 2018, at a bar table, during a dialogue about modern times, between two students of the Literature Degree - Portuguese/Spanish at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul. Cine came from the idea of the bar table to paper and paper grew into an event at the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul - UEMS, an event made by students and for students, leading to the democratization of knowledge, dialogue and debate inside and outside a public university, free of charge and universal, with the support of undergraduate and postgraduate Literature professors at the University in question. That same year, with love, race, strength and axé, we held the first edition of the event, between the 14th and 16th of May, which, since its creation, had the premise of being a trilogy, because trilogies are essentially unforgettable. The main concept of the event was to bring literature, cinema and art to undergraduate and postgraduate students and the external community and, based on these artistic aspects, encourage debate.

Today, we no longer have institutional links with colleges or universities, but our proposal to lead to the democratization of knowledge, as well as dialogue and debate, remains firm. We will continue to make digital books with articles, with our scientific committee, in addition to literary books. We also aim to regularly bring mini-courses, workshops and online lectures with guest teachers, artists and researchers in the areas of human and social sciences.
